  • find a comforting album to listen to whenever things get bad
  • take a long, relaxing bath
  • do yourself up in full make up and hair
  • be around people, even if you don’t think it will help

US COLLEGES.

for real though.

forreals

American higher education baffles me. The best universities in my country are completely free, and even the private ones are not so expensive that it’d force someone to incur in debt.

Could someone tell me how much US students pay to attend college? In Canada, colleges tend to be 3-5K a year, and universities are 5-7K.

Most schools are between 40-60K.  Some (like NYU and a few others) are more.
And no.  That’s not a typo.

im already at 36K, with one year to go

the college i’m looking at it 32k a year.

yet people shame others for not having a college degree. makes no sense, really

okay so perks of being a canadian are being suddenly realized by me again, gosh though you guys really need to protest or something its ridiculous how costly it is in the States.

Not saying we need a rebellion but that’s exactly what I’m saying… I’ve had it up to here with Americas bullshit

I graduated from a 4 year university in 2011. I had scholarships, grants, paid out of pocket every semester, and still needed loans just to make it through. Paying as much as I can afford each month, I won’t be paid off until 2040. I will be in debt from my undergrad degree until I am 50. This is disgusting. America

I’m lucky I’m not in debt, but I decided which school(s) to go to based on what wouldn’t break me, not which university would help me advance my working career. ‘Merica.

i didnt even bother trying to go to college oops

Yeah I took a few college courses until I realized it was horrifically costly. I know people with master’s degrees who are stuck working minimum wage jobs. So I ask you, what’s the point.
